James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes es un superhéroe que aparece en los cómics publicados por Marvel Comics. Originalmente presentado como un compañero del Capitán América, el personaje fue creado por Joe Simon y Jack Kirby y apareció por primera vez en Captain America Comics #1 (marzo de 1941).

"Bucky" después de sufrir un accidente es traído de la supuesta muerte por la organización HIDRA, lavándole el cerebro y dotándolo con habilidades sobrehumanas, bajo el nombre de Winter Soldier (Soldado del Invierno). Más tarde asumió el papel de Capitán América, cuando Steve Rogers se presume muerto.
